In observance of the UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we will be hosting a panel discussion event bringing together female international development and gender experts discussing the causes and implications of Violence Against Women globally and the use of activism as a tool for social change; with topics ranging from activism in the fight for sexual and reproductive rights for women; to digital and media activism and the power of storytelling in the ‘me too’ era.
Our panellists will provide a gendered lens on the issues women can face navigating a career in international affairs including gaining entry into the field and overcoming social barriers which particularly effect women operating in this space such as violence within international development.
